Raised in California’s Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, I developed an early love of music thanks to my parents’ encouragement and the thrill of picking up the horn in fourth grade. That passion has carried me through years of performing with bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles, with the concert band remaining my love.

I began writing arrangements for my students’ ensembles in 2014, and since 2022 I’ve focused primarily on original compositions after relocating to Wyoming. My two decades of teaching high school and middle school band and choir continue to shape my approach to writing—practical, expressive, and crafted with performers in mind.

Now based in Sheridan, I divide my time between composing and helping build our family homestead.
